Hard Boiled Eggs

Hard boiled eggs are a great food item to have on hand. They’re great for snacking on, putting on salads, or using in recipes. You can use hard boiled eggs in potato salad, egg salad sandwiches, deviled eggs, and so much more. These instructions will make a classic hard-boiled egg. If you’re looking for a thinner yolk, simply just don’t cook the eggs as long. Another tip is that, the older the egg, the easier it will be to peel.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a large pot. Fill with enough water to cover the eggs and then some. Sprinkle a dash of salt in the water and bring to a full boil over medium-high heat. Once the water has started to boil, set the timer for 13 minutes. When the time is up, carefully scoop the eggs out of the pot using a slotted spoon and place in a bowl of cold ice water. Let the eggs sit in the ice water for 10 minutes before peeling. Rinse eggs in cold water after peeling, to make sure that all shell fragments have been removed.
